I've noticed I can feel one loose hair as it rubs against my back or arm but the thousands attached do not bother me. Isn't that weird how the skin recognizes it as "foreign" since it is no longer attached? Crazy. Well I came across an article yesterday about self-tickling.
No, this post isn't about some sexual euphemism. You cannot tickle yourself. Even if you move your fingers in exactly the same way as someone tickling you, it does not work. Your brain recognizes you're doing it. Apparently this works because ticking is a defense response to spiders and other creepy crawlers.
